Camping

If you are trying to save some money, camping a few nights could be an option.

I haven’t done extensive research, but did find one place that is only about 9 miles from the venue in Oakland.

“East Bay Regional Park District offers a wide variety of camping options. “Family” campsites are available for those interested in having a traditional camping experience. For those with groups visit our group camping locations, available at eleven different parks throughout the East Bay.  Additionally we have Equestrian campsites and backpacking sites.  The following links will provide you with information regarding specific sites, reservations options, and FAQ.

To make reservations:

Family Campsites at Anthony Chabot and Del Valle can be reserved through: www.ReserveAmerica.com.

Group camping reservations ARE NOT available online. Please call 1-888-327-2757, option 2, to reserve.”

If you need gear, but don’t want to bring it with you Sports basement rents camping equipment.
